If you want to play 6 aside serious indoor volleyball: Serious indoor volleyball is considered to be a member of a team that has trainings and regular games at the highest level available in New Zealand.
For this you will need to be involved in Club Volleyball. Click here to go to the clubs page for more info. The National Club Championships are in August each year and most clubs seasons build over winter towards this event.
If you want to play 6 aside 'social competitive' indoor volleyball: Social competitive is playing once a week but no trainings.
Tauranga: The Thursday Senior Indoor league at QEYC, 11th Ave. This runs each year from Oct-Dec and again in Feb-Apr. The opposition is top secondary school teams, some adult club players and some 'older' volleyballers.

If you want to play 4 aside social indoor volleyball:
Tauranga: Two options
1. The Thursday Senior Indoor league at QEYC, 11th Ave has a 4 aside competition alongside it dependant on entry numbers. This runs each year from Oct-Dec and again in Feb-Apr. The opposition is mostly very social and some 'older' volleyballers.

2. The Monday Social Indoor league at Otumoetai College, Windsor Rd. This runs each year from May-Aug. There are two grades: Competitive has good school players in their off season, some 'older' good volleyballers and some of our regular participants in social volleyball - it is overall quite a good standard. Social has average school players plus more social players and is overall a social standard of play.
