Midlands League

Midlands is the BOP-Waikato area and the Midlands league involves Adult Club volleyball teams from this region competing regularly at various locations. The Midlands league serves as a development competition to prepare teams for promotion to the Northern Zone competition.

The Midlands league is due to start May 22nd 2010, with the top 2 teams being sent to battle the the bottom 2 teams of the Northern Zone for the right to be promoted next season.

This years midlands league should attracted teams from Tauranga, Rotorua,  Hamilton, and Mt Maunganui

This league is perfect for any player who would like to play competitive volleyball. Please contact your local club if you wish to be involved in this league.

02-07-10 Mt Maunganui, Rotovegas Men's, Tauranga B and Radiers Women will all be fighting it out with Auckland teams this weekend to win promotion into the Northern Zone this weekend.

19-05-10 Mt Maunganui Men's will make their debut in the Midland league that gets underway this weekend. They will take on Tauranga B, Rotovegas and Hamilton B. On the women's side Tauranga B, Tauranga Raiders, Rotovegas, Hamilton B and Spotswood will all compete. All games are at Hamiltons Fraser high school gym, see the draw above for details. 

15-07-09 Te Puke Women, Tauranga Women and Tauranga Men have finished at the top of the midlands league and will now start their campaign to be promoted to the 2010 Northern Zone League. Their first games are on Saturday the 18th of July in Hamilton. 

10-06-09 Tauranga B Men and Women both picked up 2 wins in the Midlands League on the weekend. Rotovegas Men also picked a win and a loss, while Te Puke Women were narrowly beaten in 5 sets by Tauranga B. This result leaves Te Puke and Tauranga B tied on points with one weekend to play.
