Referees are a extremely valueable part of any sport. In the BOP we are luck to have a lot of experienced referees and a huge number of young capable referees. A key priority for Volleyball BOP is to ensure that these referees have opportunities to learn and improve.

To start your refereeing qualification (regional A) you need to attend an introductory referees course, these are usually held in conjunction with a high school. There is a true / false quiz on the rules that then needs to be completed and finally the referee will need to be assessed refereeing a game.
To progress to a Regional AA level referees must be assessed refereeing and scoring 7 matches total. As well as completing a scorers exam. The paper work needed to complete this can be downloaded here.
