Indoor Volleyball Development Programme - Level 2: Grow
Develop Your Game. Understand the System. Play with Purpose.
Level 2: Grow is the next step in our Volleyball Development Pathway, building on the foundations developed in Level 1: Train. This programme is designed for athletes who already have experience playing volleyball and are ready to move beyond individual skills into the structure, strategy and decision-making that helps teams succeed.
This is not a beginner programme. Level 2 is for players who are interested in developing towards more competitive volleyball and want to improve their understanding of how the game is played as a team.
Across six weeks, athletes will develop a deeper understanding of team systems, including 5-1 and 6-2 rotations, position responsibilities, offensive and defensive concepts, and how to make better decisions during game play.
Sessions combine skill development, game-like drills, guided discussion and live play to help athletes build both volleyball intelligence and on-court execution.
By the end of the programme, athletes will have a stronger understanding of team systems, improved tactical awareness, and the confidence to contribute at a higher level of volleyball.
Programme Details
π Dates: Sundays β 2, 16, 23 & 30 August, 13 & 20 September
π Time: 10:30am β 12:00pm
π Location: Haumaru Sports Centre
The session on Sunday 20 September will be held at Queen Elizabeth Youth Centre.
β±οΈ Duration: 6 weeks
Please note: There will be no session on Sunday 9 August due to coach playing commitments, and no session on Sunday 6 September due to Fatherβs Day.

This programme is ideal for athletes who:
Have developed a foundation of volleyball skills through school or representative programmes
Are comfortable and consistent with the basic skills of passing, serving and setting
Can apply their skills in a game environment and want to become more consistent
Are interested in playing volleyball competitively and want to develop their understanding of team systems and strategy
Are ready to challenge themselves and take the next step in their volleyball development

Our Volleyball Development Programme is designed to support athletes through a clear progression, helping players build skills, confidence and understanding as they develop.
Level 1: Foundation β Build the skills. Build confidence. Love the game.
Develop strong technical foundations in passing, serving, setting and attacking while learning how to play volleyball with confidence.Level 2: Grow β Develop your game. Understand the system. Play with purpose.
Build on individual skills by learning team systems, strategy, tactical decision-making and how to apply skills in a game environment.Level 3: Perform β Compete with confidence. Execute under pressure.
Refine skills, develop consistency, and build the tactical awareness, confidence and competitive mindset needed to perform at a higher level.
Athletes should progress through the levels as their skills, experience and understanding develop. If you are unsure which level is the right fit for your athlete, we recommend starting with Level 1: Foundation to ensure they build the skills and confidence needed to progress successfully. Coaches will assess athletes during the programme and may recommend moving an athlete to the most suitable level to ensure they are learning and developing in the right environment.

To ensure every athlete receives plenty of coaching, feedback and game play opportunities, numbers are strictly limited. Small group sizes allow our coaches to provide individual attention and create the best possible learning environment.
