bop senior secondary school beach Championships
The Senior Secondary School Beach Volleyball Tournament brings together Year 11–13 students from schools across the Bay of Plenty for a day of beach volleyball competition.
The tournament gives students the opportunity to represent their school, compete against other teams from across the region, and develop their skills in a competitive but enjoyable environment.
2026 Event Details
Dates
The 5th and 6th of December 2026.
Where
Mount Maunganui Main Beach, Tauranga
Entry fee
$110 per team. This is a two day event this year which means the fees have increased from 2025.
Registration
Registrations will open in Spring.
Who
Year 11, 12 and 13 Secondary School Students.
Divisions
Division 1 boys and girls. Maximum of 2 teams per school allowed to enter into this division.
Division 2 boys and girls. No maximum set yet but once entries come in we may need to cap the entries due to court space and the nesting birds on the beach.
Weather:
A call will be made the day prior to each event regarding the weather conditions. You will hear directly from VBOP if the event is cancelled.
All teams must play in matching school playing tops. Numbers are not necessary on the tops.
